On September 16, RA NA President Artur Baghdasaryan met with Henrik Kroner, Secretary General of the International European Movement.

Mr. Kroner presented NA President the history and activity of their organization noting that the International European Movement, being a widely spread movement in Europe has been in the sources of formation of the Council of Europe and European Union. During the meeting the issue of the opening the movement office in Armenia was discussed, the aim of which is to contribute to the formation of the civil society and deepening of democracy in Armenia. Mr. Kroner suggested NA President to join the International European Movement, in the rows of which are the Jose Manuel Barosso, President of the European Commission, Valery Giscard d’ Estaing, the former President of France, Helmut Kohl, the former Chancellor of Germany and many other high-ranking officials in Europe.

NA President Artur Baghdasaryan expressed his readiness to support and wished success in their activities in Armenia. An agreement was reached to continue the cooperation, which can be fulfilled by successful work of the office.
